Dr Suja Padmanabhan is an Endocrinologist in the high risk diabetes in pregnancy service at Westmead Hospital, Sydney and Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney. She is a researcher and member of the
steering group for the Reproduction and Perinatal Centre, University of Sydney.
She was awarded an NHMRC postgraduate scholarship and the 2016 ADIPS Emerging Investigator Award for her PhD on “Falling insulin requirements and placental dysfunction in women with pre-existing diabetes”. She maintains an ongoing primary research interest in metabolic disease in pregnancy with a focus on biomarkers to improve and predict adverse outcomes.
