- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
My name is Lecquia (pronounced Le-kia) and I am a Project Assistant in the food policy team at The George Institute for Global Health. I have a Bachelor of Medical Science with a major in Human Pathology and a Bachelor of Science (Honours). I completed my Honours research with the MothersBabies Study at the UNSW Microbiome Research Centre. My research explored the maternal microbiome in the context of gestational diabetes. I have a keen interest in disease prevention with food and exercise, global health and promoting health education to the general population. I'm ecstatic about my current position at The George as I get to continue contributing to the diabetes field with the Medically Tailored Meals and Produce Prescription for GDM trials. I truly believe in living a happier and healthier life by looking after our bodies, which I strive to practise through my love for running, eating good foods and making the most of every day.
